Pursuing Racial Justice Committee

Formed after the shooting of Michael Brown, the Pursuing Racial Justice committee is the largest of Christ Church Cathedral’s lay committees. As a mixed group of ages, races, and backgrounds, we are dedicated to addressing the question, “How can we be an inclusive and justice-oriented church?”

Some of our activities have included lobbying at the Missouri State Capitol, becoming a vendor for the St. Louis American, and starting a Witnessing Whiteness discussion group in conjunction with the YWCA.

The Pursing Racial Justice Committee is open to all, and meets after the 10:00 AM service on the first Sunday of every month in the Davis Room.
