Child and Youth Education

We believe that the faith journey to know God, and to discern God’s desire for our lives and for the life of the world we live in, is never finished. To help us along that journey, the Cathedral offers a variety of Christian education opportunities for young people of all ages.

Babies and Toddlers
Children of all ages are welcome in our services at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. For infants and toddlers, two professional caregivers are available from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our nursery in the Davis Room, just outside the exit near the High Altar. Feel free to ask for directions.

 Children Ages 3½ to 10
There are two child-friendly spaces reserved at the front of the cathedral seating complete with carpets, floor pillows, child sized chairs, activity bags and seating for older siblings and those who bring our children to worship. On the first Sunday of each month children are welcome to come with an adult to the altar to share in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and get a closer view.

 Preteens and Teens
Youth ages 10 and older are encouraged to participate in liturgical ministries as acolytes, lectors (readers of Scripture), members of the Altar Guild, or members of the Cathedral Choir. We also encourage youth to sign up to receive news from the Diocesan Youth Missioner regarding youth events. See below for general contact information.
