The Cathedral Tornado Response Ministry is collecting school clothes for two tornado-affected families referred by the Lewis Place Neighborhood Association.

Through a similar tag process In December, more than 20 Cathedral members contributed Christmas gifts for these two families, headed by grandmothers Ms. T and Ms. B. Their families include seven grandchildren, ages 8 to 15.

The Tornado Response Ministry also has provided home repairs for the families.

Here’s how the clothing drive will work:

• A fleet of “giving school buses” with red tags will hang in the south transept on Sept.13 and 20. Each tag shows a request from a child.
• Take a tag and record the number and your name on the master     inventory.
• Bring the clothing contribution and the red tag number back to church on Sept. 27 or Oct. 4.
