‘Reparations: A Plan for Churches’

The Cathedral’s Pursuing Racial Justice ministry’s Spring 2024 Big Read project, in keeping with their theme of “Repair/Reparation/Beloved Community” has chosen to read and discuss “Reparations: A Plan for Churches” by Peter Jarrett-Schell.

Jarrett-Schell serves as the chair of the Reparations Task Force of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and is the rector of Calvary Episcopal Church, a historically Black congregation in DC. You can read more about it here.

Discussion dates are tentative, but we hope to have the book read through April and May with at least two discussions by Memorial Day.
