Christ Church Cathedral members are excited to kick off Phase I of the Red Doors Ministry. After identifying and volunteering at St. Pius V Catholic Church, a well-established and impactful program serving immigrants and refugees for many years, members witnessed first-hand the high demand and low supply of diapers for the families served. Babies and toddlers typically need 6 – 12 diapers a day, which can quickly add up to $80-100 a month per child. There is also no safety net for diapers. Neither WIC nor SNAP covers diapers.
The Red Doors Ministry will be collecting diapers (size 3 and up) and diaper wipes for three Sundays: July 13, 20, and 27. By donating diapers and wipes, you’re doing more than meeting a physical need — you’re restoring dignity, protecting health, and giving hope to these vulnerable families.
If you prefer to donate money to this cause, click here — select General Contribution from the “Select a Fund” drop-down menu, and in “optional memo” type in Red Door Ministry.
